If you know Maine, the destination is absolutely beautiful, right near Acadia National Park, in spectacular Northeast Harbor, known as the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island for its relaxed pace. It has a beautiful protected harbor and is at the entrance to Somes Sound, the only fjord on the east coast of the US. Join us as we explore picturesque landscapes, seascapes, harbor towns and villages with interesting history, local personalities- craftspeople, and boat builders. In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit a local island too. You will explore the subtleties of photographing people and the land, and learn the art of photographing with natural light while learning to see with the camera. You will also learn how to put images together to tell a story. The nature of the week involves local trips, individual and group critiques and daily instruction. Small class size and friendly atmosphere!
* These workshops are for any level photographer beginner to advanced. The only requirement is that you should be comfortable with your camera and camera techniques and come to the workshop with a creative outlook!

What People Have Been Saying About Nancy's Workshops
On behalf of the International Photographic Society, I would like to thank you for your excellent presentation and your constructive comments yesterday at the IPS Monthly Meeting. I heard a new member saying that it was a mini-workshop; he is ready to go out and start shooting to try some of the things you talked about. In fact, you had a very good connection with the audience.

A wonderful immersion in the art of seeing and capturing the people and culture of Tilghman Island, Maryland, ably led by Nancy Libson
Bob Soltys
Two years ago I attended the workshop on Tilghman Island with Nancy Libson and felt that I learned a lot from it. It also produced two winners for me in contests -- people pictures with a sense on place and context.
